Annual Summer Retreat for Women and Children

Our mission is to create a life-changing annual summer retreat that ministers to women in need and their children by addressing their spiritual, emotional, and practical needs. Rooted in the love of Christ, we seek to restore dignity, bring healing, and empower families with the tools they need to thrive. By offering counseling, prayer, skill-building workshops, vibrant children’s programs, and opportunities for worship and fellowship, we aim to strengthen both individual hearts and family bonds. Beyond the weekend, we are committed to providing mentorship, ongoing support, and a Christ-centered community that walks with these women and children toward long-term transformation, freedom, and hope in Jesus.

This weekend is all about creating space for God to bring healing, restoration, and encouragement to moms and their children. Through prayer, worship, and intentional times of ministry, families will be reminded that the Lord sees them, cares for them, and has a purpose for their lives. We desire that every woman and child leaves not only refreshed, but strengthened in their faith and equipped to walk in the fullness of who God has called them to be.

For Women:

  • One-on-one counseling and prayer with professional counselors and Pastors

  •  Workshops tailored to their needs & specific skills such as: Financial literacy and budgeting, resume building, job applications, and interview preparation

  • Parenting classes focusing on discipline, emotional connection, and spiritual growth for their children

  •  Conference-style worship services and teaching sessions

  •  Glam services like free haircuts, manicure, massages

  •  Long term goal: include medical services like dental, physical exams, etc.

For Children:

  • A vibrant, VBS-style program designed to entertain and minister to the kids

  •  Available professional counseling & one - on - one prayer

  •  Opportunity to accept Jesus as their personal Savior 

  • Leadership training for teens

  • Workshops focused on identity in Christ and self-esteem

  • Creative outlets like art, music, or sports

  • Guidance and role modeling from male volunteers who reflect Christlike strength, wisdom, and leadership

Special Elements:

  • Mothers will receive an "allowance" to select gifts for their children, which they will present during a special ceremony at the end of the weekend. 

  •  Shared evening worship services for families to unite in praise and fellowship.

  • A personalized letter of encouragement and prayer, written by a volunteer or pastor, presented to each mom.

  • Provide each woman and child with a personalized Bible or devotional book as a gift to take home.

Follow- up Support

  • Connect them to counselors, offer payment plans for counseling to walk them through full healing 

  •  A telegram community where they can all connect and support one another 

  •  Mentorship programs pairing moms with women from sponsoring churches or communities

  •  Access to virtual counseling or workshops after the event

  •  Resource packet: bible studies available, counselors phone numbers, etc. 

  • Churches or families can adopt families, providing spiritual mentorship, prayer support

  • Practical help throughout the year
